WHY ATTEND THE 30 ID & COLLEGE PROSPECT CAMPS?
Simple, it’s the best and only way for a high level recruit to experience NC State, a Top 25 ACC program. NC State changed direction in 2013 with a new head coach, Tim Santoro, and has quickly vaulted to the elite of NCAA Division I soccer. In three consecutive seasons from 2016-2018, NC State has been Top 25, made the NCAA Tournament every year and has advanced to two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances. It’s a great opportunity to showcase yourself at an elite ACC school and in the young, vibrant city of Raleigh, NC.
WHAT IS THE NC STATE PROGRAM NOW?
In 2018, NC State made its third straight NCAA Tournament, the first time the Wolfpack have done so since 1994-96, and advanced to the second NCAA Sweet 16 in three years with postseason wins over Santa Clara and Northwestern. The program won 10 or more for the third year in a row and had five results versus Top 20 teams (South Carolina, Princeton, Duke, Florida State and Santa Clara). In addition, NC State was ranked in the NCAA RPI Top 25 for the entire season. Like 2017, NC State finished in the Top 25 of all final polls: #18 in NCAA RPI, #21 in TopDrawer Soccer and #23 in United Soccer Coaches. NC State finished the 2017 season with a final RPI of #23, setting its best mark in program history since the NCAA began archiving the statistic in 2000. The Wolfpack improved 11 spots from 2016, when the team earned a then program best RPI of #34, and has made a 197-spot improvement from 220th in 2015. NC State concluded its historic season with a run to the NCAA Tournament Second Round and a 15-5-2 record, marking the most wins for the program since 1995. The campaign was highlighted by a thirdplace finish in the ACC regular season standings (6-3-1) and the program's first ACC Championship semifinal appearance since 1995 after a 4-1 win v Notre Dame in the ACC Quarterfinals. NC State clinched back-to-back ACC Tournament berths for the first time since 2003-04 and earned consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 1995-96, including hosting the first ever NCAA home game at Dail Stadium (a 4-1 win over Arkansas). The Wolfpack finished in the Top 25 of all major polls.
